Gortnor Abbey Senior Choir to perform in concert with The Ballina Chamber Choir
The boys and girls in Gortnor Abbey Senior Choir come from all year groups and prepare for various activities during the year such as masses, concerts, carol services and competitions. They regularly compete in the Sligo Choral Festival and were delighted to be semi-finalists in the RTE All-Island Choir
Of The Year in 2010. They are looking forward to the launch of their CD In September which coincides with the centenary celebrations of the Jesus and Mary order in Ireland. They are looking forward to performing in concert with The Ballina Chamber Choir on Jan 29th where they will be singing "Be Still My Soul" by Jean Sibelius and "Under Pressure" arrranged by Deke Sharon.
