The Art Room has five potters’ wheels and a kiln, a darkroom, facilities for screen printing, tapestry and sculpture.

Language Laboratory

Home Economics Kitchen and Needle Work Room
These are fully equipped with modern appliances.
Dining Room
Students can dine in the beautifully furnished dining room. They are encouraged to bring a packed lunch or they can avail of rolls and sandwiches available each day.
Locker Areas
Each year has a specially assigned locker area. First Years are provided with double sized lockers in an effort to ease the transition from their primary to their post primary education.
Careers Room and Careers Library
There are ICT and periodicals available to students to research and investigate future careers.
Sports Hall
Facilities for a wide variety of in-door sports.

Music Room
The Music Room is equipped with many different instruments, which are available to the school orchestra. Gortnor Abbey has a proud tradition of music-making that has existed since the school's Foundation in 1916. Students through out the school enjoy participating in choral singing.
Woodwork and Technology Rooms
These are fully equipped woodwork and Technology Rooms with facilities to teach Electronics, Materials Technology and Technical Graphics to Junior Certificate and Construction Studies, Technical Drawing to Leaving Certificate. Construction and Manufacturing and Technology to Leaving Certificate Applied and Transition Year.
Drama
Gortnor Abbey has a large stage in the sports hall with state of the art camera, sound and light equipment as well as a Costume Room.
Evening Study
This is especially suitable for Leaving and Junior Certificate students.
